Here’s an RBCM/CHEK News video feature recalling the Hope Slide of January 9, 1965, on the Hope-Princeton Highway in the Nicolum Valley. It changed the highway and the landscape forever.

The archival black-and-white film footage showing the aftermath of the slide was shot in 1965 for the Department of Highways. It’s now held by the BC Archives, Royal BC Museum.
